Our aim is to promote some fun and competition between golf mates, whilst exploring some of the best courses in the country, perhaps even the world. I started this idea a few years ago, with a spreadsheet and a bit of competitive spirit. What grew out of it was a lot of fun with mates, some brilliant golfing experiences, trips, drinks, stories, drinks, and a new way to think about and plan playing golf and golf related travel.

So how does this work ...

I've collected a number of Top 100, Top 50, and Top 'other' golf course rankings and lists over the years, and built a system around them to promote playing as many as possible. My aim is to play the Top 100 courses of the day at some time in my life. Experience says that may take some time.

The competitive fun is that there is a scoring system and ranking against your golf buddies, and against the full population of players. You get 100 points for playing the number one course in a Top 100 ranking, and 1 point for playing the 100th course in the ranking - add them up, rank them, and you have a leader. Play another course, get more points and become the leader yourself. The points accumulated vary if there are 50 or a different number of courses in the particular ranking.
